ToolzPad

Frequently asked questions

Which devices does ToolzPad run on?

There are two apps: ToolzPad for iPhone and ToolzPad for Mac, which lives in the menu bar. Both are on the App Store.

Does ToolzPad show ads or track me?

No. There are no ads and no tracking.

Do I need an account?

No account or login is needed.

Is there a subscription?

No. ToolzPad has no subscription. See the App Store page for the current price.

Where is my data processed?

The tools process your files on your device. Camera access is used for ScanZ and QRZ; location only for the compass. On Mac, screen recording permission is used by the capture tools and what they capture is processed locally.

Why does the Mac app ask for Screen Recording permission?

TextScanz (OCR), ColorPikz, RulerZ and ScreenRecZ need to see the screen. Captured screen content is processed on your Mac and is not sent to us. Any file you save goes where you choose.

How many tools are there?

More than 20 tools; see the tools page. The lists differ a little because some tools only make sense on one device.

Can I request a tool?

Yes. Use "Request a Tool" inside the app.

What are the widgets?

iPhone has 10 widgets: Tool Launcher, Quick Scan, Password, Tip, Random, Metro, Invoice, Note, Countdown and World Clock.

What is the MCP server on Mac?

It lets AI assistants that support MCP use ToolzPad's tools on your Mac. Data an AI assistant receives is handled under that assistant's terms.
