Is there a menu bar toolbox for Mac with a JSON formatter, password generator and QR codes?
Yes. ToolzPad for Mac lives in the menu bar and bundles JSONZ (format, validate, minify JSON), RegexZ, CronZ, HashZ, Base64Z, PassZ (passwords), QRZ and screen OCR (TextScanz). It costs $14.99 once on the Mac App Store, with no subscription and no ads. JSONPath queries are not in the app yet.

Menu bar, shortcuts and window pinning
A menu bar popover with search and categories. Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘⇧2 OCR, ⌘⇧C Color Picker, ⌘⇧R Ruler. You can pin any tool window on top.
Screen Recording permission
TextScanz, ColorPikz, RulerZ and ScreenRecZ need to see the screen, so macOS asks for Screen Recording permission. Captured content is processed on your Mac.
MCP server
The Mac app includes an MCP server so assistants that support MCP can use your tools. Data an assistant receives is handled under that assistant's terms.
On iPhone too
The iPhone app has JSONZ, HashZ and PassZ as well. See the iPhone guide. Both apps are bought separately: Mac $14.99, iPhone $9.99, one time (US dollars as of 29 Oct 2026). There is no Android or Windows version.
